Doug Richard
My role in The Big Green Challenge is…
To advise people on how to organise themselves effectively within a group and develop their project plans to increase the likely success of their entries
Communities I belong to…
Include a local education charity Red Balloon in my hometown of Cambridge, and also a business club called Cambridge Angels
The coolest idea I’ve seen to tackle climate change is…
To put huge kites on freight ships, using wind to power them. This would effectively turn them into sailing ships and save a huge amount of fuel waste.
I’m involved in The Big Green Challenge because…
I believe in reducing our carbon imprint and I believe in competitions - this combines both!
