Transition Town Totnes aims to increasingly engage the community in a variety of projects which significantly and directly reduce CO2 emissions, by a variety of projects such as creating low energy action plans for homes and providing a Car Share Club - a not for profit enterprise that hires out cars for hourly fee.
Virtual Farmers’ Market - Bristol
The Virtual Farmers’ Market aims to facilitate the distribution of local food and drink from producers and allotment owners to communities in Bristol, reducing emissions at every stage of the food chain. VFM will offer communities an easy way to order, online, the exact food and drink they want and have it delivered to their doorstep. Suppliers will benefit from a wide marketing campaign.
Target 60 - Bristol
Amongst other ideas, Target 60 aims to provide a trained and certified fuel efficiency team, who can advise on home improvements, survey existing appliances for fuel efficiency and fit visual monitors or smart metering where appropriate.
College and Community Environment and Sustainability project - Totnes

Tamar Grow Local aims to promote and increase sustainable local produce, through opportunities for local people to grow their own food and working with commercial growers and supply chains to increase the availability and consumption of local produce.

The Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) is working with pupils from St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School to identify and prioritise carbon reduction opportunities at the school and other community buildings and helping local householders to access grants or schemes which insulate their homes.

Marlborough Climate Pledge wants to challenge local citizens and businesses to reduce CO2 emissions through carbon footprint surgeries, competitions for the lowest carbon street, options for bulk purchasing of energy and energy efficient products for the town, and working with corporate suppliers for installation of smart meters.
River Power Microhydro- Bath
Mendip Power Group aims to create River Power Microhydro, a network devoted to helping local mill owners of run-of-river sites to generate green electricity for the community through micro-hydropower, and exporting the surplus to the National Grid.
