The (Big Green) Challenge for inventors
Can groups use new inventions in their entry for the Big Green Challenge? It would be great if they can but we thought there were a couple of stumbling blocks. First, really revolutionary ideas take years to become useful technology – the humble zip took decades to develop. That’s too long for the Big Green Challenge. But there might be problems for the inventor too. If they don’t have a patent or can protect their idea in other ways and it became public through the competition, then the inventor would not be able to get that protection afterwards. So the inventor might lose out.
But inventors could still enter if they want when they have – or are not bothered about – legal protection for their idea. Here’s how:
A group entering the Big Green Challenge would be a great way to test exciting new gizmos and get rid of the last bugs. So an inventor could get together with a community who use that invention and they could enter the Big Green Challenge. If that device does make a big energy saving, and the community show it could be taken up across the country, then they are well on the way to having a great entry.
I’d like to submit an invention for removing large quantities of CO2 and other greenhouse gases from area of highest and diffused concentrations. It is patent protected.

An invention that captures carbon dioxide could feature in an entry for the BGC. But the invention has to be used by a community (who could be just a group of users). That community would have to outline the carbon savings they would expect to make using the device. And if the entry got into the final round, they would have to show the actual carbon capture achieved using the invention. That way we know it works in practice and can see how it might be taken up by others.
i have an engine it has one moving part, its made mainly from concrete, it uses off peak electricity and you get 4 times as much out, patented need help developing it, i could make it in four days, but it will cost 2-3k and when its running you would never know its there, its designed to be buried, and forgotton about
Over many, many years of history most break throughs in the development of mankind have come about by accident.I myself made by accident a discovery that could save mankind from himself.It may seem unbelievable but I have seen it work with my own eyes, a way of generating rotary motion using as a power sourse only a large powerful magnet and a type of wheel, it’s shap and material made from are the secret.
